Hi,
As I am more curious about tube amplifier, I searched through internet and try to find a good and convenient web store for all parts I need to buy.
Maybe I am a newbie in this area and may not know how to search for a part efficiently, it takes forever to find a part I need!!!
A typical tube amp webstore shows a list of parts but you have search one item at a time and click on "Put it into cart". This way takes a long time.
Is there any web part store where I can send my list of parts and I can get itemized and final price quote at later time?
Is there better way to search for parts than what I described above?
Thanks for your kind answer and advice.
Dontellpapa.

If you want the best price, you'll have to shop at three or more stores.
If you want one-stop convenience, check out tubesandmore.com or apexjr.com (Steve doesn't list everything on his site, just shoot him an email with your needs)
Cheers!

Having to look up each part is too hard?
You could send a parts list to each supplier and ask for a quote, but consider that a $10 order is not much to a company that routinely sends out thousand dollar orders. Imagine sending a shopping list to your local grocery store.
May I suggest ordering the paper catalog from the suppliers you want to use. You can flip through the pages and write down what you want on a pad, then simply submit the collected notes to the online order page. You won;t have to search out each part online, you will already have the part number.

if you order parts often enough, you perfect the practice into an artform. It only gets faster and faster.
then again, i don't shop typical tube amp webstores. except for the tubes and sockets (and the occasional bit of iron), almost everything I get comes from newark, mouser, and digikey. Easier for me to search (which is a funny thing to say when they literally have hundreds of times or so the inventory of a typical tubeshop).
+1 for the paper catalog method. Or buy a kit, chuck the PCB if you're inclined and wire it up.
