I think I'll have to re-read the whole thread, from the beginning
since it's only 11h20PM here 😀

It's a DIY store in Antwerp. The guy really knows his stuff. He used to be a big fan of Audax, but he is changing his mind, since quality has been dropping...

I'm not saying they are bad drivers, though. But there are better for the price.
you mean peerless HDS?

Seas is also in my price range, how are they compares to peerless? (it's the same company)

Yes Peerless HDS and also the CSC series

I don't know. It's pretty decent stuff.

those companies are united, but they don't have the same production lines..

Scanspeak also belongs to that group, but they don't make the same drivers as peerless.

sure, for ss

but the seas drivers (except the excell line) are more or less at the same price as the peerless, so...

Well, I don't have experience with the seas drivers. I can only say what that guy from diyparadisio says about seas.
He thinks they are good, but not as good as Peerless. Even the Exell series, he does not rate very high.

well, it's "only" one guy's opinion
I've heard many good things about the excells here (especially the tweeter)

Yes, that's true. It's only one man's opinion.

I think peerless is really good for mid/bass and bass drivers. Their tweeter wa10 is good for a budget tweeter, but you can get better tweeters from ss, seas, acuton...

The HDS series is however high end stuff for a low end price. The bass is really very good. I was really impressed.

🙂 😀 at last we are geting somewhere, as I said originally the peerless HDS range offers remarkable performance for the money, and:xeye: audax as our friend in antwerp says have gone downhill I was amazed when the local wholesaler sent me the latest driver specs for the new range of audax about 12months ago:bawling: compared to previous range which was infinately better in every sense with one or two exeptions which were'nt all that flash to begin with ie: the kevlar and some of the fibreglass coned units, don't ask me to be specific here as I dont want to go through the whole lot of the stuff on file:devily: CHEERS, TJB; ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE AND ANOTHER CIGARETTE :smash: ohhh, when will I ever learn?:bawling:
