I can find 4 pole 4 position rotary switches easy enough, but I need a 5 pole 4 position switch. Could use a 6 pole as well, and just not use the extra connections. Has to be the non-shorting type. Any ideas where to find one reasonably priced?

Decades ago, like when Clarostat and Centralab were common names, I used a lot of deck switches, like for band switches in short waves or input selectors in my hifi. There were some standard configurations, but mostly we'd get the shaft and bushing assembly (came in vairous lengths to handle number of decks) then get the needed switch decks.
A quick tour through Mouser and I find Eelectroswitch seems to still do this, though not cheap.

I have no idea what you are switching, but have you considered electronic equivalents? 8-channel analog switch as CD4051 comes to mind.
