SB26STC tweeter option on Troels' SB Acoustics 3 ways
..Better sound??...Save $40!!

In Troels' SBacoustics 3-way Classic Design, the SB26STC-C000-4 tweeter could be a better choice for the 3,700Hz LR2 crossover to the SB12MNRX25-4 midrange than the currently selected larger diameter SB29RDC-C000-4. The SB26STC has a smoother SPL extension to 20Khz and beyond.

Since both are excellent tweeter, listening tests are as important as datasheets.

The SB26STC-C000-4 costs ~$33, and the SB29RDC-C000-4 costs ~$52.
-------
The large 29mm dome diameter and low Fs=600Hz of the SB29RDC-C000-4 and SB29RDNC-C000-4 dimpled dome tweeters is commonly selected for the required ~1800Hz LR4 crossover to the 6.5" midbass SB17NRXC35-8. The physically smaller SB29RDNC-C000-4 can reduce T-M center-to-center separation, especially when the plastic face plate is further trimmed. 116mm vs 142mm

======
Getting good measurement data (FRD, ZMA) is harder than calculating and simulating passive crossover values.

It would be just beautifull if this project SB acoustic 3 way could include

satori mw13p-4 instead of SB12MNRX25-4 midrange and Satori tweeter TW29R rather than SB29RDC-C000-4

comparing those drivers data-sheets ,they looks very similar ,do you think they could be just swapped ?

that could be real hiend small classic 3way ...
