Loadspeakers relay protection

I am looking for a good loadspeakers protection circuit. It might be with relays. It is for hi power amplifier outputs.

I know Partsexpress sells some ready-to-buy relay circuits for speakers. The power ratings are for approx. 8-ohm loudspeakers and are actually switched based on current.

I've been on the chip-amp, solid state forums and no one really knows how to protect speakers. It's interesting, I think, I'm still working on it. I don't mind a sort of, archaic system, as long as I can get it to work. Anyway, Good Luck and tell me what you find, I'm very interested.

The PE kit is only good if the amplifier fails. It will not protect the drivers if the amplifier is working normal... for that itis almost always better to custom design a protection circuit....
