I'm still not sure what has you confused. The LME49830 is a chip for providing voltage amplification and drive capability to drive the final stage transistors for the output stage. Basically it replaces multiple discreet transistors that would otherwise be necessary to provide for the input stages of the power amp. Hope this helps.
