I am trying to decide between the M-9810-C+, M-9830-B, and M-4702-I or H for hi end home audio in a digital active cross 3-way with my direct out modified DCX2496.

He also has an interesting concept of running the driver chip at 5v higher than the output rails which would be a hassle to implement but might keep the chip in the range of it's lowest distortion when pushing big current.

The site is tricky to navigate at first. drop down from the amp modules tab and click on one of the driver chips, then go back up to the pathway bar that appears just above the module tab to click on the different variations that are offered for each chip.

Pricing is cheap for completed modules if you can really get them. $60.00 or so. Or just buy the boards and order the parts.

The question you are asking is subjective. Some swear by BJT and others think FETs sound better. If you really want to decide by sound quality the only way is to do the test yourself and choose what you think sounds best. Since the price is right for you, I'd say go for it.
The idea of higher supply on the driver when using FETs is pretty old, actually.

I have ordered and received 2 kits + 2 PCB (alone) from this web site and it arrived home (in Canada) about 10 days after order with no bad surprise (no extra fee). It came very well packed with even the resistor values written close to them. The parts are first quality and I doubt you can get a better price than the one charged for the kit.
I have assembled one kit of LME49830 for electrical test but no sound test yet. Maybe in one month or so I will install the kits in one of my DIY amp chassis. I received also 2 PCBs for the regulated supply which I have not assembled yet.

That's what I was looking for. A subjective opinion from someone who has actually listened to any of these circuits side by side to try to save me from buying all of them to find out the differences. It sounds like you received good service from the web site. When did you order? I am a little leary in doing international buissiness with someone that won't even return an email to tell me which of of few very similar products that they recommend for me to buy.fab said:

I ordered at the beginning of February. I got replies to my e-mails but sometimes it takes a few days. The guy appears to be very busy. But after all, for me, the process is even more faster than some orders I did in the past in the US (but have in mind that it needs to go through customs
from US to Canada). I even made a suggestion for a separate output board PCB or kit (for multiple parallel trannies) and he replied that he would seriously consider it.🙂

Did you ask him about the various kits or just pick the 9830 your self? The 9810-C+ seems to be his top pick from what I can gather from the limited descriptions but modules AND kits for that are "out of stock". Maybe this is old text he hasn't changed since working with the 9830 with mosfets. Are all of the other kits except 9830 and 4702 out of stock because he has decided just to carry those 2 circuits and gave up on the rest? You didn't want to pay him the extra $5 to assemble it for you? $5 of my time would last about 15 minutes tops. Beyond that I would be glad to let him do it.

I just knew what I wanted but I asked about combining 2 orders in the same shipment and he did it so I could save some money (even if the shipping is not expensive to travel half the world...).
I was not sure if there is a good quality assembly and I wanted to modify several resistors ,install the double poles compensation and use Lateral mosfets instead of the provided IRFP240/9240. Also, the 47uf feedback cap is a little low value for my taste. You can clearly see the tilt with 20 Hz Square wave with a scope.
I think heis a member of this forum or someone on this forum has something to do with the chip-pcb.cn.

I used tightly matched 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 as outputs.

Wow! That amp is a monster with it's 6 output devices. I see that only the boards are available right now. I am a DCX2496 active cross user and could never feed 6 (or 12 bridged) of those. That would keep me warm in the winter. I share your concerns, but take into account that if you will bias the output BJTs at the suggested current (100mA), you will hand up to dissipate about 30W/amplifier at steady state... about 200W for 6 amplifiers.

Still no email reply. It's been a week. Too bad. Looked like a good deal. If they had any modules that sounded better than my TDA7250 amps, I would have purchased 12 at a time.

Ihave bought some pcbs prom Chip-Pcb a few months ago. Though he did not answered to inquiry mails - He definitely seems very busy - he sent the stuf as soon as as ordered. His pcbs show a very qood quality and work fine. I just had to make one cut to separate input ground from decoupling/dirty ground. Any needed information can be found on his website.
