ok, it's time to get this thread up and running again.
after quite a slogstorm and what apprears to be a premateur death, i think it's time to get some work done here.

a lot of good ideas have been put forth, and i have some of my own brewing in the back of my head, and that wil most likley be put forth sometime soon.
there has altso been some talk behing the curtains, that will probably yield fruits soon.
my original samples from national altso got lost in the mail, but new ones are comming with the good graces of National semiconductors. 😉

so stay tuned, and stay focused on the task at hand people.
i think this could be the foundation of a great piece of audio equipment.

Cheers

It isn't obvious to me that the output devices are limited to Darlingtons. That may have just been intended as a minimal component example. I don't see why you couldn't uses quite a number of output topoligies; EF tripples, CFB and so on. In fact, an obvious (to me) application would be a more or less standard IS+VAS with which to experiment with a variety of output schemes. Perhaps even a pair of lateral MOSFETs.

You receive that message first.
Some time after that, you will receive the same message Jack and I received: cancelled.

I see I am a little late to the game, but I just found out about this part. From what I have seen, the designs you guys have so far look like a great starting point for a pretty sweet and POWERFUL amp. I am especially interesed in hearing if you guys who have chips have had a chance to take a listen yet.

I was originally interested in using this chip in a dedicated sub amp, but since there seems to be no availability for another 3 months. . . . 🙁
