Hi experts,
I have 24-0-24 5A, 280VA center tap transformer, 40000uf rail and 2x50w panasonic 6 Ohm speakers.
My basic question, is it possible to drive two LM3886 XY amps with this transformer?

24VAC gives more then 30 VDC under load, so it may possibly be a bit higher then LM3886 can withstand with 6R load.
That is definitely to high for 4R load. It is fine for 8R load. But I am not sure about 6R.

My last transformer with 2x24VAC had about 35VDC with a light load,24VAC gives more then 30 VDC
so I´d guess it´s between 30-35VDC assuming nominal AC voltage from the wall.
Look at page 14 in the LM3886 datasheet.
With 6Ohms and 70V (+-35V) supply voltage you are right at the edge with Pd of 40W.
Assuming that the DC voltage will sag a bit under load and only +-10% varying AC-voltage, I´d say you´ll be fine with that transformer.
You will need a proper heatsink though if you push the amp hard.
Guidelines also on the same page of the datasheet.
