I've got a lm3886 kit with 2 in paralell and always noticed the heats sinks were pretty darn warm after long usage.
Not burn your hand hot but pretty warm. I know it's not unusual with these so I wasn't too concerned.
This is a dual mono setup with dual power supplies.
I was in a tweaking mood so I took some cheap film caps 100nf, and bypassed all the diodes in the bridges.
Did seem to maybe give the sound some added quickness and clarity which is ok.
Big thing though is that after a long session the heat sinks were barely warm to the touch.
I'm not technical like most on this forum and don't quite understand why?
Not complaining mind you.
