Hello to all,
I am quite familiar with National Semiconductor overture series of amplifiers and also have quite some experience with it, I have developed pcb's
for a couple Ic's of that series LM3875, LM3876 also LM3886 and others.
But here I would like to learn something about the SK3875, I have removed this IC from an old Sony receiver so the part is genuine, the part does
feature the old Logo from National Semiconductor but the reference part number start with "SK" and also use the case of TO-3PF from popular
Sanken device like 2SC5100 also does have an SK label inside the small circle on the lower part of it.
Does anyone have some info on this, is this exactly the same internal circuit diagram of LM3875 why this variant?
If you want to check my work with this kind of parts you can check it here:

Looking at the photo, you can see a little TO-220 LM1875 next to the larger SK3875, which is more like a TO-247 (etc). The link to LM1875 implies that it is a similar device in a larger package. The internal circuit may not be exactly the same, but they have the same number of pins and functions so it's probably compatible with the Sony circuit. Assuming the Sony chip is older, it is best forgotten.
Yes the first part is a LM1875 in a TO-220, the SK3875 is in TO-3PF does anyone think that this part was partnership between National SemiconductorLooking at the photo, you can see a little TO-220 LM1875 next to the larger SK3875, which is more like a TO-247 (etc). and Sanken? Does anyone find a datasheet for the SK3875?

No datasheet available, but SK3875 is much more stronger than LM1875 and equivalent to LM3875.
Attached photo in post #5 is equivalent of LM1875 (SK18752).
