hi
i ripped my cd collection to flac, and have been playing it through my laptop soundcard on my dyna/pilot/altec setup... recently i tried playing off my wife's laptop and it made a big difference in sound, so im wondering whats the best laptop soundcard setup? i saw there's a few products by creative, has anyone tried these, any recommendations?
from what i can tell there's a cd transport and a dac, can i connect a diy/high-end dac to my laptop?
thanks for any info!
best

Or checked the Wiki for how to setup linux audio using an external dac?
I have tried both linux and windows using an external dac, linux is better, but widows is better than a sound card.
