I’m interested in building a linear power supply for my Rega rp6 psu.( like the swagman labs unit)
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a kit or pcb, plans etc?
I’m really new to the diy side of things so please bear with me..

While the voltage is the same 24V AC on the swagman the rp6 manual states the speed is controlled by the power supply -
Extract from manual-
The compact TTPSU uses a high stability crystal locked low distortion sine wave generator along with an efficient drive amplifier fed from a stablised DC power supply etc.
The speed change is achieved by changing the frequency of the drive voltage .
This is bi-phase 24VAC .
Its not a simple linear PS replacement but requires frequency changes in the motor as well ---does the swagman do that ?

The Swagman Labs Power Supply for Rega Turntable appears to be a set of EMI/RFI filters and a step-down power transformer, in a box. At present they seem to offer a range of "power supply upgrades" (link to table) which includes three AC supplies and eleven DC supplies.

Don't you guys think he is just asking for an idea for the stabilised DC power supply? Would that not be the best way to help him??

Sorry Jan I was just trying to point out a crystal controlled digital power supply which is also 2- phase and changes in frequency achieved digitally is not simple to achieve using only analogue circuitry .
It can be done but its not simple to achieve .
Not meant to put him off but even using analogue methods would require some skill in electronic circuitry , I will try and find something suitable.

It's simpler still. The Rega turntable has a separate speed control magic box on the side. In the photos on the Swagman page, it's the slender box with glowing red light. This Rega magic box runs off a 24VAC wall wart. Swagman sells a replacement for the wall wart which they (not so correctly) call a "linear power supply". But most of the supplies in Swagman's product table are DC output not AC, and I imagine those are linear, not switching, supplies. So most of Swagman's products indeed ARE linear power supplies. To save time and effort they just copied the advertising text from another page. Therefore an AC transformer in a box has a product description which calls it a "linear power supply".
It may not necessarily be hokum. It is possible that the Swagman box contains three transformers. Two isolation transformers in series, with EMI filters at each step, followed by a 24VAC step down transformer. I would not disagree with the claim that this provides cleaner, purer power than a plain ordinary wall wart. Whether it improves the performance of the turntable --- I have no data and no opinion.

hi, thanks everyone for getting back.
I believe the Swagman just replaces the wall wart and supplies (cleaner)power to the Rega tt psu which still acts as speed controller.

.like a Naim ARMAGEDDON its more simple to build...build with a big toroidal of 450 VA

The RP6 power supply supplies sine waves with a distortion value of - (minus )-20db according to the manual , the power companies can have 5% (or more) distortion .
What you are looking for is actually a power supply design modeled on an audio amplifier but limited to either 50Hz (European ) or 60Hz (USA ).

For about 50 different brands/models.
Only one I see for Rega. Which seems to be what nudgebutton is interested in.

If it keeps you happy =0.1% THD (as per the manual ).
