Hi,
I'm planning to try riaa reequalizing via my linux based computerd. I will soon get myself a rme 9632 which has an (hopefully decent) ADC on board. To give it some air to breath I will boost the carts audio level with a linear headamp.
Which target level should design the pre to, so that it is high enough to gain enough resolution in the A/D conversion, and which margin do I need for clicks and pops?
Do ADC's prefer a certain output impedance? Any other issues I'm not aware of?
I'm not filing my vinyl, I'm looking for high quality playback!
