I have a all-in-one system that has a 3-disc changer, radio, and amplifier in one unit. I was able to put in a line input by connecting my mini-jack to the stereo analog output of the CD-changer, which goes to the input of the main board. It worked but only if there was a cd that was playing. If a CD was not playing it mutes the analog input from the changer. Now the changer is not able to read any discs. So I am not able to use my mini-jack input.
What I want to do is bypass this muting function so I can always use my mini-jack input.
Along with the black analog output from the cd changer, there is a white 6-pin cable that goes to the main board. The pins that are connected to the white cable are labeled on the main board as RESET, NC, CD-CL, DGND, DATA, and 9V.
I have a feeling I have to short one of these lines to keep it un-muted.
