Speaking of not holding your breath, here's
my 3 year old 2SK77B amp board.
Gotta stuff it up one of these days.....
Not breath hold but 2SK77B make my eye's large

Hope for more update , news about Mr Pass rare SIT amplifier.
Best regards
I plan to do something SIT-ish with my IXYS monster fets, so they may end up acting /sounding(?) like the 2SK77Bs. Again, no breath-holding is advised, or you my wind up purple and gasping...
The Funny One is pretty successful in ignoring me

I wonder why.
Hahaha
Well, all the parts on the Light Touch except for the three main semiconductors are stuffed - there weren't that many, after all. The boards will probably get mounted on the heat sinks I was using for Aleph McSIT at BA16, while those boards will get shuffled on a common heat sink (Sunnyvale's Weird Stuff to the rescue) and bundled with a chassis and power supply (possibly with a whisper of forced air). As usual, the worst part of the project is dealing with the chassis and power supplies.

I thought I was going to be mounting the boards to heat sinks over the past weekend, but I managed to break my 6-32 tap. Once I get some replacements (and maybe it's time to get a decent tap set from someone like Greenlee). I'll have another go at it.
I'm going to try these on an F6 circuit.
Nice smooth capacitance curves
RthJC 0.35C/W
Decent amount of transconductance for a single stage amp.
Not sure if this interests you, but thought I would share the love.
Peace brother.

Thanks for the Ixys reference, but I'm sticking with what I have on hand for the time being. What I do is done on borrowed/stolen time, so I can't go yiping after every bit of silicon/other stuff that gets dangled in front of me, however tempting. I have trouble completing projects as it is.
Having said that, I'm snapping up NOS jfets as fast I can grab them, even if they're in pestilential SO-type packages.
The next big hurdle for me will be making things pretty, so some poor yokel might actually be tempted to yank out his wallet rather than smile tolerantly and saunter away (sounds nice, looks like sh**).

Choky - I was looking up the RL12P35, and came to the conclusion that however many of these tubes you manage to score, you may spend the rest of your days trying to grub up sockets for them - far worse than the GU50.
That won't help you forget sand for very long... Can't you hear? The sand is calling youuuuuuuuu.....
