I know that you want a bright light, but isnt there a point where the light would just be too bright? With a bright light wouldnt the blacks in the image not come out like youd want it? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Also I know most of you guys use the metal halide lights, but why are they superior to halogen? I read it is a whiter light but is the difference that noticable? Are there any other light sources to consider? Thanks in advance for any replies - Bucky1.

Halogen is much too yellow, and MUCH MUCH too hot! You are just asking for a damaged LCD if you use a high powered halogen.

ouch! thank god i read this post. i was just about to buy a 500w halogen lamp to my PJ because it's not easy to find HQI here in Portugal.
