series xo's don't work well with hard cone drivers.

1st order series or parallel generally don't work well with hard cones, the reason being that most hard cones have a resonance peak before they roll off at the top end... any first order x-o will have trouble controlling this because they don't roll off fast enough . The imaging and dynamic benefits of 1st order series seem to be gradually eroded as corrections such as LRC traps are added.. as one would expect to be the case...

The 2nd order series as discussed here http://users.tpg.com.au/users/gradds/series_cross-overs9b.htm
will generally be much better at controlling the res peak of a harder cone.

Valid points, but the Eton has its resonoce peaks at 10000Hz.

I guess the solution mybe simpler: I measure the impedance agian and the filter has an impedance peak at the cross-over-frequence to 20 Ohm, so I guess this needs to be solved first. Anyho how good do 1st order-series filter act towards an increas in impedance from 5 Ohm (tweeter) to 10 ohms (woofer)?
