Sorry if you've seen this before, but I just came across it:-Blackbody - $959.00 : LessLoss high end audio power cables, audiophile power cables, audiophile cables. There's also a Stereo Times review of it here:- StereoTimes --.
It's this kind of stuff that males me distrust audio reviews so much.
Here's a quote from the Stereo Times review
Right, I look in a mirror and everything's changed colour.
$959.00
These people have no shame.

Here's a quote from the Stereo Times review
What we call reflection is actually (and counter-intuitively) the absorption and re-emittance of electromagnetic energy (electron-photon interaction in quantum electro-dynamic terms). This is potentially a bad thing when signal purity is an absolute priority, as it is in high fidelity audio equipment. Not only is the energy that bounces back in different phase, but it is of a different wavelength or wavelengths. (My bold)

This part is intended to impress people who are 'into' science, but don't actually know any science. Probably somewhere else there will be blurb aimed at people who hate science, but are 'into' crystals and 'energy' lines etc. The big question always is: do they believe it themselves, or do they just hope we believe it? Are they fools or knaves?electron-photon interaction in quantum electro-dynamic terms
Annie get your gun.
Annie Get Your Gun is a musical with lyrics and music written by Irving Berlin and a book by Herbert Fields and his sister Dorothy Fields. The story is a fictionalized version of the life of Annie Oakley (1860-1926), who was a sharpshooter from Ohio, and her husband, Frank Butler.[1]
It's all that and more.
It's also something you can say in a tongue in cheek manner when there is something as unjust as a $959 power cable. When a sharpshooter is needed to scare them there shysters back into line. 🙂

Cal, the power cable is $5000. The $959 is for the box that does nothing. But you need at least four in order to experience the lack of effect.
I made the mistake of reading the linked Stereo Times article. I don't often call people "stupid," just "naive," "gullible," "credulous." I am tempted to make an exception...

Ah yes, I see that in my haste to discredit the power cable I failed to notice it wasn't a cable at all but a mysterious black box.
The cable must be on sale now. It is a mere $1149

"Cables are simply amazing. The sound stage is huge and sibilance free. Amazes me the way instruments and voices soar out of thin air."
Thin air? Hmm...seems pretty thick to me.

Wouldn't those people be called into Science Fiction, and not Science?!
Peace,
Dave
SF is a literary genre, where for the purposes of entertainment people are temporarily willing to partially suspend disbelief in vaguely reasonable extrapolations of known science. The best SF, in my opinion, does not extrapolate too far.
Buying fancy cables requires, for the purposes of entertainment, a permanent willingness to fully suspend disbelief in either unreasonable extrapolations of known science or carefully written spoof versions of known science.
They both take money off you in order to provide entertainment. In the case of SF you generally get what you pay for.

Not so different...SF lets us explore an alternate reality where the scientific principles are bent to a greater or lesser degree in an imaginary world that entertains. Cables such as these use imaginary "scientific" phenomena to produce imaginary benefits that entertain. Biggest difference is that SF entertainment is usually inexpensive while audio-tweako entertainment is almost always curiously expensive...as though the money was the only thing real in the equation!
Wow! I read with astonishment how these dimwits, money grabbers are stepping up to SF creators territory. Respect. NOT!
There's good and bad science fiction, fancy cables advertising is....can't go on .....this is too silly.

Lithuanian company - Blackbody
It is clear that the scientific sounding words are either marketing-speak or the product designer is trying to explain something that he doesn't understand but only intuits and is using pseudo-science "poetry" embarrassing as it is.
It is not a slam dunk that this product is bogus. 6moons gave it a positive review as did dagogo.
This Lituanian company puts out allegedly very reputable products, DAC 2004 MkII, cables, etc. It doesn't make sense to put out a whack-o product to tarnish their reputation.
In short, because this product is so woooo-woooo, any dealer (of which there are none -- direct ship from factory in Lituania) should allow an in-home trial.

Did some mindless wandering of the web and stubled upon a very positive review of their power cables... It seems lessloss has put some serious effort into creating fake audio web sites they can put their forged reviews in. Either that or some reviewers are really effing stupid or does simply take bribes. I call bogus on everyone that does not call bogus on lessloss.
Only thing about this that makes me happy is that this thread already exists, I came here to start one ;-)

Its obvious,
If you put something heavy on your equipment stand its going to have an effect..perhaps they should have tried a couple of house bricks painted black with sorbothane pads on the bottom for a comparison..then some engineering blue bricks..for a comparison...🙄
