Hi,
I bought a lepai LP-2020A+ amp and wanted to run it off a rechargeable battery so I did some research and found the Anker Astro Pro (2nd Gen) battery that should work as it meets the requirements for the amplifier from 9v-12v and has both settings.
The problem is that whenever I have the amp connected to the battery supply the amp turns on for a few seconds then slowly shuts off (I can see the blue ring turn on then off).
I'm not sure what the issue is, i've gotten it to work once just not sure if I can't get this combination to work in general

It May have enough Voltage.
But clearly not the amperage needed.
Buy a 3 to 4 amp hour battery.
I have seen some other Mimics like this online and it seems a popular battery would be the Amazon.com: Anker® Astro 3E 10000mAh Portable Charger Dual USB External Battery Power Pack for iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, iPad Air, mini, Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Note 3, Nexus 4, HTC One, One 2 (M8), Motorola Droid, Moto X, PS Vita, Gopro, most Smartphones, Ta
Just don't want to return it and then get another that won't work.
I took a look at the manual for the battery you mentioned in the first post. It's not a very high amperage output, but it might work. What seems to be the problem is that the battery turns off when the output ceases to draw power. So the bulk capacitor(s) charge up, then nothing is drawing enough power, so it shuts off, and the LEDs fade as the capacitors drain back down. I don't see a way around this short of playing music before you turn it on, which is a bad idea.
Buy ? this:
11.1v 1500mah 30C DBY-Power Lipo Battery
Proven quality But then you will also need a capable charger for it. Lipos catch fire.. spectacularly.. if incompetently charged.
OR buy a sealed lead acid Alarm type battery
OR 10! AA Sony Enerloops.
All of which are Mo' $$ than the purchase price of the lo quality and poor sounding Lepai.
As always there ain't NO free lunch.
