I know there are some topis over this, but it is one of the biggest problem you encounter when you are wuilding a boxed projector.

This is the last real problem I am looking at !!

Need to lengthen a couple cm like 5-10 would do the trick.

Any sugestions without cutting my original flat cable are pretty welcome.
I can't come up with anything else then looking and keep looing for a cable extension with those 2 connectors on it?
Anybody has a store were I can find them?
Here are some pics.

15pins one side so 30 pins and like 1.5cm lengthe is the connector

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I think soldering some 30 gauge wrap wire is the best bet if you can. You don't have to cut the cable in order to do this.

I gonna make a mess out of it I am soo sure of that hehe
Maybe I can ask a friend.
What you mean by not need to cut the cable?
That I can solder to the pins from the connector self, but that is very very small, don't have the tools for it best use a magnify-glass and a very good soldering bolt, maybe a friend can do it, need to ask.

I think if you dig through a digikey book, You probably can actually find those connectors. That would allow you to make an extension cable without risking the lcd by cutting the cable.

I go do this first, here we have Velleman maybe they has something I can use.
Digikey is ypical US, no ?

I did the same kind of job when I put a modchip in my xbox, 32 wires to solder on the mother board.. the spot I needed to solder were so small! magnify-glass I a must have.. with a low power iron. Mine is 15 watt.

If you go with this option, the trick to remove the plastic from the .30 wire, since there no cutter able to do that, is simply to melt it with the soldering iron. It's easy and work great. And this wire is easy to work with, solid too for this kind of gauge. With 1 wire I was able to lift up my xbox mother board!

And to solder.. no need to pre heat the wire and the spot. Just put a little solder on your iron tip, place your .30 wire in place on the spot, then put a little solder on the . 30 wire and that's it. You can't do this with bigger gauge, but works great with .30 and small soldering spot.
