I have hooked this amp up over and over, tried different suggestions from others. I even paid money today to have it Bench tested. I have a Kenwood head unit in my car and a Power acoustik 2200 watt amp. It's LED light comes on but no sound whatsoever. I heard it yesterday for a second. I got a voltage meter and it doesnt show any coming off of my REM (blue) wire in the radio harness. What to do???!!!!!

wow,thats a new one....
take a test light and start as close as you can to the head unit to see if you have power.the wire maybe broken inside it caseing.
just for my info.,what model kenwood is this.

is it the amp or the head unit that doesnt work? if it is the amp, have you connected the remote turn-on? if it is the head unit, i cant help.

Hey this just happened to me with my memphis amp...i had everything tested and what it turned out to be it the rca jacks on the head unit werent putting out any low end signal...i'd say the problem is in the your receiver
I 'm not sure about the Power Acoustics, but in most amps, the led doesnt come on, unless it gets 12V to the remote input too. So either your head unit doesn't give low level signal to your amp, or your amp has an internal problem. You can check your HU's preamp output with a voltmeter, or a portable stereo with aux input. If your head unit is ok, then you must have your amp checked by a specialist. But first CHECK your connections again. Are you sure your speaker cables are not grounded or short-circuited ? This would bring your amp into protection mode. One more cause could be the amp's temperature protection circuit. On some amps the temperature sensor gets faulty and they get into protection mode permanently, cutting off their ouput.
I hope this helps.
