I have been researching leds as an alternative light source for a while now and have got a few companies to quote me on making me about 50 4000 lumen lamps. I would be able to sell them for $400-500 depending on the finalized price that I recieve from the company that I chose to make them. The size of the lamp would be about a 5" diametre There is however one problem with using these led's for your lightsource. You will have the problem of determining whose name in the will to place the lamp since undernormally circumstances you would be able to run in 3 hours every day for 100 years.
