I am interestested in several boards. I will know how many when we have a final design. Ed's idea of separating the front end from the output stage is a very good one and gives much greater flexibility in choosing heat sinking and output devices.
Hi ,
I would like to know if a 4 layers pcb would be better for this amp ?
Best regards
Serge
Hi,
You might be able to improve on some minor things, but it will be more expensive... I will be happy to make a 4, 6, 8 layer version... but the cost will go up a lot.

I question the value of a multi layer board. A double sided board is repairable. A multi layer board is not. What value does this offer us? It seems to offer little or none. It will be less reliable and cost more.
I realized in my work for industry a few years ago some 4 layers pcb and i know that it's more expensive .🙂
There were one layer for the GND,one layer for the +v and -v ......
But the question was ,is it possible to improve the performance with a 4 layers pcb.?

Are you going to do this again?
The Wiki says this order is closed and gone. Are you going to do It again?

Interested in just 1 if it's the same as the last GB. 2 if it's for the new 6 pair board.

yup, this is a 6pair version with option to cut the board for 3 pairs output if that is desired by end user...

ok then Im in for a pair of 6 pair boards.
Why not a real universal one ! regular or double barreled on same board ? with choice of 8x to5 4x to220 and for sure 12 out. possible and forget your 2x 10,000Uf
There was some plans for this a while back. I know Jens had drawn up the boards, and I think Tad had some protos made, and somebody did some testing and then ???. It seemed to evaporate. If we could resurrect those plans, I think it would be great...
No reason to have half-a-billion different minor revisions of this design floating around. A universal front-end with 3 or 6 output pair (plus double-barrelled) would be a fantastic option.

the front ends are not the same, although if you have the super leach amp front end you can easily set it up for a lo-tim version.......
this is the thread....http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/51392-leach-super-amp-pcb-re-design-lsaprd-12.html
Sorry, I've made a mistake, i was thinking that it was the Super Leach PCB amp. Please do not consider my offer !
Thanks

Yes Tony ! Double barrelled front end and only few cut/jumper(copper trace) and voilà you get an universal Leach: 6 to 12 output and +/-50vdc up to +/-95 .
I remember building one few months after publication (Audio May 80). Have been replaced only 15years later.Would like to built a modern version.

there is another thread on that......maybe jens can be persuaded to do a universal version....
