I have built Leach amp some months ago and it works incredible.
Now I thinking about using it as integrated amp( passive preamp + Leach power amp). I try this combination with simple plastic 100k pot, but it hasn`t got enough gain.
So I`m thinking about to increase gain (of the Leach amp) for about 6 dB (my CD player has a 2V rms output and tuner about 600 mV) to put maximum from amp.
It is possible to increase gain? I am worried about feedback network!!
Thank you for ideas!

Yes I tried with some preamps, but sound is better (my opinion) with simple plastic pot. Also you got just one box and minumum number of components in signal trace.
Preamp For Leach Amp
Dr. Leach published a preamp construction article and design "Construct a Wideband Pre-amp" in Audio magazine, sometime in the 1970's. I listened to it being played through a (my) Leach amp and was quite impressed.
Let me know if you find any of those "Gain Pots". Quite rare, I believe 🙂 .
