Hi all,
I am new to this stuff. I understand that we need a controller to be able to use the LCD from the laptop. What about using the laptop itself as an LCD.What I mean is if we have a TV tuner in the laptop and we put the LCD laptop over the OHP while it connected to the motherboard of the laptop, we will be able to exclude the controller (US $300)from the system. Does this work or Am I missing something???
Thank you all.......

Good idea in principle.....
Great idea, just a couple of reasons why this is probably not a popular solution.
1. You would have some serious dismantling to do to the laptop- risking fatal damage to the display / controller itself unless you know what you're doing! Even if you could dismantle it sufficiently, would you leave it permanently dismantled (might be a waste of a good laptop??)
2. In order to get a laptop display good enough, and a system capable of good video performance you would need at least a mid-range laptop - possibly a second-hand model around $300 - $400 might just be good enough.
Quite a lot of money to risk?
Remember, a laptop will likely be harder to adapt for this project because of the compact, ultra flat design of the screens.
