ok please don't flame me to bad i am new with lcds but looking to have fun with this project. what i am wanting to do is take the lcd screen off my old laptop and mount it on my xbox for my son and i. one of my questions is the blue connection off the screen do ya'll know of any converter this would work with? now the xbox i know for easy output from the console would be video jack from a 3 wire a/v set or s-video, i also know i can get a hidef connection from xbox if you think that would help also. here are some pictures of the hp laptop and the connection i am talking about.

also if i tried to take a vga cable and splice in the wiring of the xbox might help me and just go from a vga not s-video or other. i have been looking for answers for about four days now and this site looks to be where the smarter of the bunch come to talk about lcds. any help will be great and thank you for looking!

I doubt that you can get that LCD up and running directly, without buying a controller (alot of money). Save yourself the trouble and see if you can buy a halfdecent projection panel or desktop lcd that can be stripped. Does the laptop work? and what are the specs or model number of it? you can run a USB tv tuner into it if its fast enough, and play xbox through that.
