lcd from a bbroken projector

the lcd is 1.6 but it has 800x600 native resolution

From some of the things I've read this may only be overheating due to a clogged air intake filter or the lamp is dying, but I'm far from an expert. The thing that I would worry about is that there is no readily available information about it, usually projector central or a quick search will give some info.

all i want to do is take out the lcd from the projector and insert it into my diy projector. is it possible?????????

u will be stupid to do that

the LCD is very small. when the bulb is like 10x bigger

and the contrast is 100:1 thats terrbile

I dont see any reason why you couldnt use a projector lcd just you would have to use a diffrent condenser???

No expert but it should be possible, another problem is that the driver board for the projector are usually designed to "not work" when the bulb is off
