lcd broken

I took a 5 inch lcd tv apart to play around with the back light but when I put it back together the picture was all fuzzy. I was very carefull not to damage the ribbon cable or any other wires. Any ideas of what is wrong?

Can someone please explain how this happens? I've read elsewhere references to lcds being fuzzy and don't understand. From what little I know it would not seem possible. Isn't each sub-pixel seperate? What am I missing?
