LCAudio Softstart

Does anyone have a circuit of the mk2 lcaudio softstart? Seems both mine have stop working. 😡 I tried to measure the voltage across the relay and it's 2.5vac on one of them and on the other unit it's 6.5vac.:xeye: From what I can see the relay coils are 110vac.

I tried to trace/measure the voltage leading to the relay coils. From the input voltage, there is a row of resistors which lead to a SMC which is glass and is red with a green stripe. I am speculating that this is the problem. Is it a diode? I measure the voltage before this component and it's 240vac (australia) and on the other side the voltage bounces around. Is it supposes to oscilate?

Please help
Chris

Hi Chris,

Any help with this?? 😡

I've seen diodes like that as well but..... I've personally no idea exactly what they are.

I think the best you can do is email LCaudio, they should be able to give you the part #, and maybe a few tips to try too.

Best of luck with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I have resolved the problem. It was the diodes. After an extensive googling I worked out they are BAV103. I replaced them and it worked.

I worked out they where under-rated for Australian voltages, so I email the distributer of LCAudio in Australia, they contacted Lars and he confirmed this as well. I have since installed some 600V types now.

I had to use some toothpicks to jam the relays after powerup so I could keep listening during that time 😀
