LCAudio shunt regulators

Sorry for opening a new thread again for a power supply question, but has anyone tried the LCAudio shunt regulators to power DAC circuitry like clock oscillators, DAC-Chips or analog output stages?

The schematic is available from the LCAudio website. From the high-resolution ZAPfilter MK II board photographs, you can see that the design of the regulators did not change at all after the update. So at least the people at LCAudio think it's the best way to power a CD player's analog output stage.

Is it correct that you DEGRADE the performance of a shunt regulator if you add capacitors AFTER its output?

@ELSO KWAK: You are using shunt regulators for your clock, too, at least in the revision I have. Do you consider them better than the standard approach? (I know you are actually listening when you make changes to your circuit, so your opinion is important) Have you tried the LCAudio circuit?

Shuntregulators

Hi AMT-freak,
I am using the TL431 in my clock powersupply regullator but NOT as a shunt regulator. The TL431 is merely used as a amplified zener I think. The regulator itself is a series, not shunt regulator. 😉 I did not try the LCaudio approach.
For the analog output circuit I am using Jung like regulators.😉
