I am wondering what kind of results I would get by laying a fairly nice 8" LCD screen (with enclosure around it to block out light) on top of a new/nice overhead projector...
Any one know?
Thanks

That depends on whether or not it is a vga 8". But either way it'll work. I was running a non-vga 7" on an OHP and it wasn't bad at all, but now I have a 15" Viewsonic on the OHP and it looks fantastic.
Ok, I have a question regarding using a computer LCD (16ms for gaming)
If I just take the new 15" LCD out of it's enclosure, and build some time of light barrier to put around it (so overhead light doesn't shine through where the LCD doesn't cover the glass) will I be set???
Is there anything covering the back of the LCD when you take the cover off? That is what I am asking... 😀
Thanks! 😉

I have been playing with an old laptop screen on my ohp and yeh pretty much just sit it on an overhead, focus it and your set. I need to cool mine with a fan or it starts fading because of the heat.
it depends on the screen. there a few lists of ones that don't (and are compatible with projection) kicking around this forum.

Also, keep in mind that with a 15" on an OHP, most likely it won't quite fit all of it on the stage. You can adjust the screen proportions using Powerstrip to get it to fit. If your brave enough to split your fresnels, you can get a little bit more of the screen projected as well.
