I know some of the hardest parts to obtain for the anti-ecological minded Class A'ers are those radiators we use to heat our homes in the winter.

I just found and ordered 4 - 12"X12"X4", flat-back heatsinks for $30/ea. from a surplus shop in Ohio (By Phone, No Web Site). I haven't received them yet, but I don't forsee any problems. I made contact via a winning bid for some power resistors on eBay. It was an off-handed conversation that led to his stock of heat sinks. He said he "got a bunch in the other day".

(After posting this I found their web site: http://www.ctrsurplus.com/ , a little too quick on the draw:eek:)

His description was a little weak, but I did manage to get that they had a number of large diodes mounted in them and that the fins were straight and perpendicular to the flat back.

Here's the contact:

If your wondering, their in mid-eastern Ohio, near Manchester.

Good Luck if your in the market. This is by no means an endorsment as I'm still hoping my deal turns out ok:eek:

These were free!

I salvaged these form an old Strand Lighting dimmer system that we recently retrofitted with a new system. They'er 4.5 X 4.5 X 5.5 inches. Will use them on a pair of Pass Aleph 2 power amps in the very near future.
Those into heatsinks please check them out when you ave time and let me know if U think they will work out ok.
