I'm using a different amp as a reference. To make sure that there is no confusion, confirm that the resistor and capacitor in the image are R34 and C37 in your amp.

Also confirm that there are no speaker wires or RCA jacks connected to the amp.

The resistor and capacitor you have circled are R70 & C37.

R34 & C34 are next to each other on the other side of the transformer, next to where the winding leg goes into the board.
R34 is a blue 33Ohm resistor
C34 is a 683K63 piece...

R70 reads 940Ohms

Nothing plugged in...

No, I disconnected the speaker wires.
I cannot get ANY reading at all from the RCA shields to the heatsink.
I can still get a reading of about 1000 to the negative terminal though.

Would that have anything to do with the big blue resistors between
-SP to heatsink &
-ve to heatsink ?

There is also that resistor that is between the RCA ground and heatsink too...
