I tried roger of laney and he said that the schematics are only for their qualified service centers...

so I pose the question again... anyone has the schematics for the LG20R? 🙂

Sorry GetaFix...

What is your problem with LG20R? Can you take some picture of pcb board in your amp? Maybe its same or very similar as in LG35...

I just got the chance to open up my amp and found that it is using the TDA2030 as the main power amp. It also has a small spring reverb.

would replacing the reverb tank with a bigger one deepen its sound? sorry have no idea how the reverb works 🙂

okay will try to get a picture of the board

Nothing is really wrong with my amp, what I particularly would like to do is actually just rig up my lg20r to have a footswitch similar to that of the LG30 😀

Add footswitch to LG20R, if it has j-fets (2N3819) as switching elements, is probably simple. Just drill one hole at bottom side of amp metal chasie (opposite of input jack) for addition footswitch jack and connect two wires from this jack to the "Crunch' push button.

But if your amp have not J-fets, you must remove push button and add small relay 12V instead of it. Control of this relay will be from external footswitch pedal. Of course, you can put another mini switch (on place of original) in parallel of footswitch to able manual channel change like now.

So, look carefully do you have j-fets on the amp main board...

Sincerely...for me is more simple solutions is to buy or make good distortion pedal, or sold LG20R and buy LG35R. Both amps is very cheap and good.
For me, chrunch channel sounds very good, but too noisy.
But game is game...If you like to play with electronics, just go...

I'm working on changing first stage (TL072) with tube ECC82.
zeoN_Rider, do you interesting?

You can replace reverb tank if you can find space in amp and most important: if this reverb have same or similar input-output impedance like original...

Reverb works like speaker and microphone with linked membranes with springs. Signal run from begin to end and again of springs and produce number of small delays, witch we hear as reverb.

You can change feedback resistor on return side of reverb amplifier by 2x value and you will have two times louder reverb. But you must know witch is this resistor. So... make sharp photos of board...
