hey

Ive got an Elite optics viewrite II overheard projector. On the side of the projector it says after some OHP info

Lamp 250w max

does this mean i cant get a 450 / 500 watt bulb for it? or will it blow up or something

thanks

I've got that problem as well, it says 250W on mine, but I think it's okay to go higher but you've got to buy the ballast and all that stuff, kinda expensive if you don't live in the U.S.A.

I'm just going to buy a more powerful OHP.

I just got mine yesterday (qa-1150) and am using a dukane 4003 ohp with a 410watt fxl bulb(i think its around 4000 lumens). And it says use 410w fxl bulb only, but i was looking to get a little more brightness out of my setup, i was curious also as to what it would do if i put a 600w bulb in there.

anyone know what ya could do to put a higher watt bulb in these without blowing them?(without building some crazy contraption).. would it be worth the trouble?
