This guy has probably the only 10 new original Sony ones left in the world, I don't know him so you take your chances, I don't need one as I already have one in my stock, so go for it if you trust him and don't mind paying the money, I feel for the Wadia (Teac PS2s transport) I have it's worth the money to keep it alive.

I don't understand the term "New".

Means this, that this KSS151A was reintroduced and therefore it will be currently manufactured?
If so, I would be very interested to know which company authorized by Sony was to launch the new production again. In this case also the types KSS-272A could be produced again.

Or means this only old stuff, but unused ?? Then the term "NEW" is misleading.

I think, an important difference.

I've a Denon DCD-3560 which I'm planning, just digesting loads of info about this, did some work on Threshold and Levinson amps but never on CDP's, to upgrade with new single opamps like OPA627 or AD797 .... dual Opamp OPA2134, Panasonic FM series caps maybe Mundorf MLytic for the two pwrs caps. But when the Laserunit fails I've nothing left....:dead:

Amusing.. That anyone has yet to introduce a complete re-designed lineup of these obviously popular parts.

I'm waiting w/4 early (fine examples) CDPs that are packed away, patiently looking forward to one day (before I pass-on) being able to again enjoy these great designs.

It's great that automotive industry stepped up development and produced parts for older popular cars. Thanks Detroit et al., for allowing me to enjoy my old Matchbox Chevy.

It's hopeful that SOON someone gets their collective head out of their smoldering anal port and realizes that for little investment, a positive return will be realized.

SONY.. get with it.

Your market share is where it is due to lack of attitude toward your (bread and butter) customer base.

If you think I pleased with SONY, PLEASE re-read. pc

I just sold a new KSS-151A that I kept as a spare for a decade as I sold my CD player so no longer needed it. I've moved onto streaming with a Cambridge CXN and other sources, so will not use CDs again.

I think you'll find more might appear on the market as some of us old guys move onto streaming and discover the spares that we have been hiding for years. It's possible that a lot have been binned as users have sold their CD players and forgot about their spares. I've done that with a lot of cheaper lasers such as the KSS-240A.
