I'm working on a Krell SACD Standard that never transitions from standby to "on" when the power button is pressed. Nothing seems completely out of whack with respect to the voltages coming from the SMPS, but I'll post them later in case I'm missing something. So at this point, I'm wondering if there are any owner (past or present) out there who've experienced this particular problem.
If you have touched the mechanism of the cd and it is not perfectly resynchronized, it can happen, it goes into "protection" in any case I have already had the problem on a Krell player.
I haven't done anything with the mechanism, though I have no idea if someone before me did. It came to me this way. Thanks for the tip.
I have exactly the same problem with a bad eBay purchase. When i press the power button I get the blank blue display and after a while I get a "Common Error 12C " display, after which it goes back to standby. I don't understand how to reset the disc transport and like you I have not touched it. HELP !!!
