Dear DIY enthusiasts and professionals, My Krell KSA100S jumps into its security immediately after switching on. I have no money to buy such an amplifier again, so a repair is my last rescue. hello, i've met the same problem with a KST100. Solved soldering sym/asym input mode switch in "asym" ... 🙂

First cones first.
Before doing anything else, remove speaker cable and startup the Amplifier.
Does it start up without entering security then the problem is with the loudspeakers. connect one LS at the time and switch on to find out which of both causes the problem.
If this don't help then open up the cover and check for blown fuses.
if you find a blown fuse, exchange only with same VALUE.
if nothing helps. then I would suggest that you send the Amplifier to it's service center or have someone with the necessary skills check it.

Hi Chris, many thanks for your response. Meanwhile a bit further. A number of capacitors look suspicious. I decided to have the amplifier completely overhauled. Unfortunately, the schematic is from the old KSA-100. I have the KSA100S. This is constructed differently. I wish I could get a service manual for this Amp ...
