Bipolar transistor is not old school for me, they can be best depends on how you design them and the topology used.
I agree, BJT are the best and those TO3 are the best to survive high temperature due to class A operation, old school is into massive power supply and heatsink with L profile for transistors.Bipolar transistor is not old school for me, they can be best depends on how you design them and the topology used.

Are you selling or showing your nice build? And it does look great
For now I build only for personal satisfaction, with love to the electronics....
Is this amp fully biased in class A? Those heatsinks are not sufficient even for ksa 50.
Its true heatsink are not enough for fully biased in class A but there will be some hidden add which will provide full bias...
KSA MK1 was a dual mono design with two EI type power transformers .An important element of its sound .

True

Are you sure for EI transformers, I see there are two huge toroidal transformers....?
Very nice amp build, I would like to build one same as your layout.
It is very tight layout, is there any hum noise with your amp output.
If no hum noise, please inform your amp grounding layout details for my amp build reference.
Thanks!

Hello Patrick, no hum or noise due to amp grounding, there I divided 4 grounding on channel, everyone from one central point between PS capacitors:
1.input signal GND
2.NFB GND
3.PS onboard PCV capacitors
4.two speaker GND(L+R)
