Thanks everyone who's helped me think through this! I'm leaning towards building large horns using Bill's spreadsheet, 3-way active DSP using BMS 4592ND's, + TBD 2x15's, powered and DSPed by Hypex FA123's. This combination being the most cost effective over TAD-4002's or the Celestion Axi2050 2-way. Build them into my wall using a sofit for toe-in. Will start a build thread when appropriate if I do indeed go with this.
I think the only other option that get's me the "I am there" type sound I'm looking for would be an in-wall floor to ceiling line-array. After reading Wesayso's tread (well a lot of it anyway.. that thing is out of control 🙂) it may be above my pay grade. I build predictive models for retailers (using CHAID or regression techniques), and am an expert at Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and it took me years to get good at it.. I don't want to wait years to enjoy good sound and the line-arrays just seem like a much steeper learning curve to get it right!
Am I missing anything else out there that I should look into? When I say in-wall I'm not talking about corners...I'm talking along the long wall in my family room (so 2pi space) FYI...
Anyway thanks again!

One other quick question... As I said earlier, my current speakers are BG Radia SA320's for my left, right, and center channels. It appears from what I can find that the re-sale value of these is around ~$1,500 or so. I know at one point the tweeters and mid-ranges in these would have been worth more as parts for the DIY community but now you can get them (reproductions?) from Part's Express. Are they still worth more as parts due to having the original BG made planers or are the ones you can get from PE just as good? Just thinking about how I'm going to offset some of the cost of this!

BTW: My experience with FA122s on K-402s/TAD 4002s on top of KPT-KHJ-LFs was horrible. They sounded like PA amplifiers (...specifically, the worst of that type that I've heard). I'm not sure what the issue was but it was not subtle. For that trial, I swapped my Xilica XP-8080 and First Watt F3/Crown D75A with the FA-122s. I could not believe what I was hearing.
Since that experience--with anything that Hypex produces, I'd be extreme careful if it is anything other than NC400s. (YMMV)

Good to know! Maybe I should try my little Amp Camp Amp i'm building... 🤔BTW: My experience with FA122s on K-402s/TAD 4002s on top of KPT-KHJ-LFs was horrible.
