Guys, I need help with these. Yeah, I know they are old, but many nuts out there rave about them, and the antique prices paid are rediculous. I landed this pair, and they still work! BUT, the tweeters don't, and I have learned that the old caps go bad and need replacing. Also, the 'dope' on the cloth surrounds needs a new coating of something, and I sure don't want to make a mistake there. Is there a good substance for this job? I have heard that the liquid tape used by electricians would work, and others have strange and dangerous ideas as to what to use. Do any of the speaker suppliers offer a coating?

Back to the caps: I know they should be the same ratings on Mfd, but what about voltage? Can I use higher rated voltages that are mostly found on the higher quality caps? Also, what is the best recommended brand of caps for crossovers?
I know this is a lot, but I want to 'bring them back', and want to do it right. Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions. Ron:smash:
