Well verbose, you're right! It's cooler without the gap! Way cooler! But I get a hot spot in the center, so I think I'll buy 1 or 2 fans to cool this thing a little. I'll fix them each side of the plexi, sender a air flow to the LCD
Well I've put my 2 fans, my lcd seems to get hot anyway, but I don't see any signs of overheating.

Your image colors start changing (I think start getting darker) when the LCD overheats. I think it starts to wash out and become more dull and fuzzy also..something like that...There are posts in the Forum about what happens when your LCD overheats.

nah but seriously prop is right, but usually when you see the signs...the damage is already done..so with that in mind whats 3 or even 6 fans if your saving a 300$ panel.
