Just wanted to say hello (as recommended by the registration instructions).
I've been designing and building loudspeakers as a hobby since around 1992. I used to subscribe to Speaker Builder for a time - is it still going?
This year I moved from my home in New Zealand to Germany. After learning German I've started reading Klang & Ton as well as Hobby Hi-Fi. Two great loudspeaker mags! I've been unable to find a job here yet (IT here sucks) so I've started reading about amplifier design - mainly the Nelson Pass web site. I've also just read the Electrostatic Loudspeaker design cookbook as I want to build my first pair of electrostatic speakers. Should be exciting, though I need a job first to be able to fund it all. Maybe also a high voltage power amp... Oh well if anyone is interested in these topics please feel free to contact me. I'm off to post something in the loudspeaker section now.
