Kit Base Preamplifier Recomendation

A few days ago I received a preamplifier kit from www.diyclub.biz in HK.

I ordered the V-3310 preamplifier, the case that matches it, the mounting kit and the solid AL remote.

Lets start with the bad. The aluminum remote is not all that great. Cheap and smaller than it looked.

The good:

The kit is very easy to put together, the included components are very nice, the front pannel is very nice machined aluminum.

The RCA's seem very good.

The display is very nice, a good blue color.

The power supply looks to be a good design overall.

The front pannel buttons are just OK in terms of feel, I may try to dampen them a little bit for a more solid feel.

The sound is very very good, it is clean and adds no hiss or hum. Not even audible with your ear next to the speaker.

I ran it in for a day (not sure if I believe in that) and then listenend this afternoon.

Baseicaly I cant fault it so far, and it is a steal for around $200 including shipping.

For about $100 more you can get the version with relays and resistors instead of the digital pot. I would imagine that this could sound better, but who knows.

Anyways, a good buy.
