Quick question:
I just bought a HLLY TAMP 20. Does anyone know if I will kill it with a with a 5 AMP 15V laptop power supply? I have a universal one with adjustable voltage (only as low as 15V) that I would like to use as long as I can do so safely.
Thanks!

13.5 is as High as I would go. You could use a resister to drop the voltage of your supply; But I would just spend the 10$ and get a 12v 6A supply off eBay. I have been happy with the 4or5 I own. I prefer the two wire with out ground.

I appreciate your reply and the link you sent. Money isn't an issue, but I was under the impression that running the amplifier at only 12V was handicapping the output. Is this not the case? Is there a formula that calculate the output for a given voltage?
Thanks!
Thanks!
