I am only able to get the amp out of protect mode once I lift Q04. At that point I get audio on the class a/b side. On the class d side I get audio but it’s low. I do have full rail to rail oscillation.

Check (very carefully) Q314 and Q315.

I removed Q314 & Q315 before removing Q04 and amp stayed in protect.

'Low" is not a precise term. For reference. Drive a signal (50-100Hz) into the sub channel. Set the gains to full, the crossover to the highest frequency and measure the ACV directly across the shield and center conductor at the RCA jack input.

Then measure the ACV at the sub out terminal of the preamp board, using the ground terminal on the same connector as the reference (black probe).

Do this with the bass boost at the full CCW and CW positions.

Measure the VC voltage with the bass boost at both extents of rotation.

Did you download the KX version 700.5 from elektrotanya?

No I wasn’t aware of a manual being available. I’ll download that. Here is my measurements as I download the manual:
