Just realized the amp in my chevelle was a 4 channel, which is a nice surprise, been awhile since I last looked ha. Problem is when I hook up rca's to the second channel preouts the volume is very very low. The speakers will get normal when the rca are barely touching the preouts. When you push them all the way in, back to quiet.
