I was planning with the ZX as it is stable at 2ohms. I want to power it with amp8 but that is not stable to 2ohms mono. 🙁
I know the capabilities of DD subs. they are just 8" and I don't plan to break windshields with them so I think 1kW is enough for me. 😉

nope. still waiting for the toroids. will be using a bootleg amp for this temporary 
as I don't have any spare good amps. 🙁
tomorrow, I'll buy MDF then start working on the box on friday. I'm leaning more on the doubleshot enclosure.

works like a charm. can't wait to get the kicker amp going. the spare bootleg amp that I'm using right now isn't doing the sub any justice.

the core is the only problem. besides that, everything else works fine. when the core arrives I'll put it together and make it work asap! 😀 😀 😀
You could have made a tapped horn rather than a reflex enclosure, it's a matter of making the duct longer 😀
