Cant get sound out. No burnt smell everything looks new. Ive tried hooking another amp up and all works fine. What could be the problem? The protection light is green all power ground and remote work. It powers up i hear the relay click and nothing? Pleas help me
Even though the relay clicks the relay contacts may be corroded and not making good contact and not passing audio/signal. Also, you may not have audio coming out of the preamp board.
Do you have a scope? And do you know the version/model year of this amp? Send good quality pics if possible.
Older Models (2006) will have a 5 pin header on the preamp board and newer models (2008-2011) will have a 12 pin header. The 5 pin header has a pin labeled (out), the 12 pin header has a pin labeled (sub in). With a scope or a AC meter (scope probe or black probe held to the negative speaker terminal) see if you have any audio on this pin. If you have a test tone, set it for 40hz.
One more thing, even though this is a Class D amp you may consider moving to the Car Audio forum.
